Corn Hybrids to Watch
Choosing the right package of corn hybrids can make a big difference in yield and overall performance on your farm. In this post, we highlight several corn hybrids that are standing out this season, covering a range of relative maturities and regions. Whether you are looking for proven performers or new options to try, read on to explore hybrids that are showing strong results in the field.
RC6273-PCE
This 112-day hybrid is a plot and field champion and performs best at moderate plant populations. Given yield potential and Goss’s Wilt tolerance, it is well-suited for irrigated ground and performs well East to West. It starts the season strong, finishes well, and dries down efficiently, allowing it to maximize its full 112-day maturity.
RC6334-VZ
Ideal for tougher, variable acres across Kansas, Nebraska, and southern Iowa. This 113-day hybrid features the Viptera trait that includes control of Western Bean Cutworm, making for clean ears at harvest. It offers an impressive western toolkit with green snap tolerance, high pH tolerance for variable fields, Goss’s Wilt tolerance, and drought resilience. RC6334 performs best in the 100-to-220-bushel range and delivers strong standability and intactness to finish the season.
RC5768-VT2P
This 107-day hybrid produces a beautiful ear with high test weight grain and performs well across a variety of yield environments and soil types from east to west. Unsure what 2026 will bring? RC5768-VT2P handles a wide range of conditions and is a reliable choice for nearly every acre in this maturity.
RC5859-PCE
This 108-day hybrid adds valuable genetic diversity, bringing an outstanding disease package for Tar Spot, Goss’s Wilt and Northern Leaf Corn Blight, performing across a range of productive environments, from eastern Colorado to Pennsylvania. It pairs well with RC5768-VT2P and is a versatile choice for many acres, including good south of zone movement.
RC5263-PCE
This 102-day hybrid emerges strongly with excellent early vigor and features an attractive plant with wide, dark green leaves. It offers green snap tolerance, a solid disease package, and strong standability, delivering on its early promise. Best suited for highly productive acres, RC5263 PCE consistently outperforms the competition.
RC4829-PCE
This 98-day, high-yielding hybrid stands out for its ability to handle variable soils while maintaining the ability to reach 300-bushel yields on productive acres. Also available in a conventional and organic version, RC4829 brings impressive tolerance to major leaf diseases.
RC4684-SSP – An ideal fit for corn-on-corn acres, this 96-day hybrid offers good Goss’s Wilt and tar spot tolerance, excellent standability, and strong overall plant health. It pairs well with RC4122-VT2P, a new 91-day option, and delivers deep kernels with high-end yield potential while maintaining root strength. RC4684 shines in western and tougher environments, in addition to more productive acres.
RC3721-V – This 87-day hybrid with Viptera brings a strong late-season plant health package. Despite its relative maturity, it continues to fill the ear with starch, producing wide kernels and outperforming other 87-day and fuller season hybrids in yield potential, allowing good south of zone movement.
